Troubleshooting and FAQ

Signing in and wallets

My wallet never shows a prompt. Open the wallet from your browser's toolbar: wallets often open their window behind the page. On a phone, open juamarkets.com inside the wallet app's own browser, or use the QR-code option.

"You dismissed the request in your wallet. Nothing was sent." You pressed Reject. Press Continue with wallet again and approve the signature.

"Switch your wallet to BNB Smart Chain and try again." Your wallet is on another network. Switch it (the site can ask the wallet to switch for you) and retry.

"This wallet already belongs to a Jua account." Each wallet links to one account. Sign in with the account that holds it, or use another wallet.

I signed in with Phantom (Solana) and cannot trade. Orders are signed on BNB Smart Chain. Link an EVM wallet (MetaMask, Trust Wallet…) under Settings → Wallets and trade from it.

"No wallet found." Install a wallet extension, or open the page in your wallet app. On a phone, use the QR-code option to connect a wallet app.

Trading

"Your wallet can spend $X on this: add to it, or cancel an open order." Your wallet's USDT, less what your other open orders already need, is not enough for this order. Add USDT to the wallet or cancel an order.

My order was cancelled: "your wallet can no longer cover it". A limit order is paid only when it fills. By then your wallet no longer held enough USDT, or no longer let the exchange use it. Nothing left your wallet. Place it again when the wallet can cover it.

"This market is opening for trading from wallets. It takes a minute or two." A new market needs one transaction from Jua's operator on the Conditional Tokens contract before anything can trade. Wait a minute and try again.

"This wallet has paused its account on the exchange." You (or whoever holds the wallet) called pauseUser on the exchange. Call unpauseUser from the wallet to trade again. See Safety.

Why did only part of my order fill? A market order takes only what the order book can match straight away, and the rest is not placed. A limit order can fill bit by bit as other traders match it, and the rest keeps waiting at your price.

My trade shows as pending. It is being settled on chain, which takes a few seconds. If the chain refuses it (for example, the other side's wallet could no longer pay), the trade is undone, nothing leaves your wallet, and you are told: "A trade could not be settled". Place the order again if you still want it.

Why can't I place an order? Trading closes when a market reaches its end date, and staff may switch trading off while a result is confirmed; your open orders stay and can still be cancelled. Orders are also refused while an account is suspended, and buying is off while you are taking a break.

The first time I bought, my wallet asked me to approve something. What was that? Permission for Jua's exchange to use your USDT: one transaction, a few cents of BNB, once. It can only ever take what an order you sign allows. See Safety.

Results and winnings

How do I get my winnings? Press Collect winnings on the market's page or in your portfolio, from the wallet that holds the shares. One transaction, a few cents of gas. See Collecting winnings.

The result is final but there is no Collect winnings button. Three usual reasons: the wallet connected is not the one that holds the shares (connect the right one); the wallet is on another network (switch to BNB Smart Chain); or the result is not yet recorded on chain, which happens once every trade on the market has settled, normally within minutes of the result becoming final. In Telegram, pull the Portfolio tab to refresh.

I collected in Telegram but the winnings are still listed. Collect again after a few minutes. The first attempt did not reach the network; nothing is lost.

Can I dispute a result? Yes, if you traded that market. While the dispute window is open, press Dispute on the market's page and explain what the proposal gets wrong. Staff review every dispute before the result becomes final, and you are told what they decide.

What happens if a market is cancelled? Every share, Yes or No, pays 50¢. See Cancelled markets.

Telegram

"No real money in Telegram yet." This deployment has not switched on trading from TON wallets. You can use play credits or Demo in the Mini App meanwhile.

My trade in Telegram says "Nothing filled at that price, so everything went straight back to your wallet." Your market order found no matching orders at the price the quote showed; the USDT you sent came back in full. Try again, perhaps with a smaller amount.

"This trade couldn't be placed, so everything went straight back to your wallet." The exchange could not accept the order (for example, it was sent from a wallet that is not connected to your Jua account). Everything was refunded. Connect the right wallet and try again.

"Jua is taking a break." Staff have paused the Mini App. Your account and positions are kept; try again later or use the website.

Money questions

Is this real money? On a real-money deployment, yes: you bet in USDT straight from your own wallet, one coin for each dollar, and winnings are paid to your wallet. Jua never holds your money: there is no balance to top up and nothing to withdraw. On a play-money deployment, no: credits cannot be bought, withdrawn or exchanged.

Do I need to deposit before I bet? No, and you never will. Sign in with your wallet, choose an amount and press Buy. The money leaves your wallet only as the trade settles.

Can I lose more than I put in? No. The most you can lose on a share is the price you paid for it.

Are there fees? 5% of what you pay on every buy (by default), capped at half of what the bet can win, shown before you confirm; nothing on sells, settlements or collecting. The one-time approval and each collection cost a few cents of BNB in network fees. See Buying and selling.

Can Jua take or freeze my money? No. Your money stays in your wallet until a trade you signed settles, and the exchange contract can only do what your signed order allows. See Safety.

Where are my shares? In your wallet, as outcome tokens of the Conditional Tokens contract on BNB Smart Chain (or as jettons in your TON wallet), backed one dollar per pair by the coin the contract holds. Your portfolio shows them with their value and profit or loss.

Who can use Jua? Anyone aged 18 or over, where prediction markets are allowed.

Still stuck?

Write to support with the link to the transaction (from BscScan or a TON explorer) and your username. Support can look up what the chain and Jua's books say; it can never ask for your recovery phrase or move money in your wallet.
