The Telegram Mini App
Jua inside Telegram: the same markets, your portfolio, the leaderboard and invites, in an app that opens from Jua's bot. Telegram signs you in, and with real money you trade USDT on TON straight from your own TON wallet.
Jua holds no money in Telegram either: there is no balance on Jua, nothing to pay in and nothing to withdraw.
Opening it
Open Jua's bot in Telegram and press Open Jua. A link a friend shares opens the app on an event, with their invite applied. The app has four tabs: Markets, Portfolio, Wallet and Profile. Telegram's own back button takes you back from any screen.
The first time, a one-screen welcome asks for a username, your country, and that you are 18 or over and accept the Terms. Under Profile → Quick guides short illustrated tutorials cover getting started, a first prediction and play credits.
Connecting a TON wallet (TON Connect)
Real money needs a TON wallet connected once. Telegram allows only the TON blockchain inside a Mini App, which is why the Mini App trades USDT on TON while the website trades USDT on BNB Smart Chain.
- Open the Wallet tab (or press Buy Yes: it asks you to connect).
- Press Connect wallet. TON Connect offers Telegram Wallet (built into Telegram), Tonkeeper and other TON wallets.
- Approve in the wallet and sign the message it shows. It proves the wallet is yours and moves nothing. The Wallet tab shows the wallet, Verified, with its USDT and TON.
See also Linking a wallet.
USDT and TON: what you need in the wallet
- USDT on TON to bet with. One USDT counts as $1. Telegram Wallet and Tonkeeper both hold it; you can buy it in Telegram Wallet or send it from an exchange to your own wallet (choose the TON network when you withdraw).
- TON for gas. Every trade and every collection sends about 0.1 TON along with it, to pay for the messages on the TON network. Most of it comes back to your wallet once the trade is done; the network keeps a fraction of a cent. Keep a few TON in the wallet so you are never stuck.
Trading
- On a market, press Buy Yes or Buy No, pick an amount and read what it wins.
- Press confirm. The app asks the server for the exact transaction, then your wallet asks you to confirm the trade: a transfer of your USDT (cost plus fee) to Jua's exchange contract on TON, with your order written inside it, plus about 0.1 TON for fees.
- Confirm in Telegram Wallet or Tonkeeper. The order appears as soon as the TON network shows it (a few seconds), fills against other TON orders, and the Yes or No shares arrive in your wallet as jettons.
- Anything that does not fill comes straight back to your wallet at once. If nothing fills at that price, everything comes back.
A few things are different from the website:
- Market orders only. The Mini App does not place limit orders yet, so nothing of yours ever waits on the book.
- A separate order book. TON orders trade only with other TON orders. The prices shown in the Mini App are the TON book's; the website's book is separate, so the two can differ a little. Jua's own market maker quotes on the busiest TON markets so a market order can fill at once.
- Your money waits in the contract, not your wallet, for the few seconds a trade takes. The exchange holds what you sent under your order alone, and can do nothing with it but fill your order at your price or better, or send it back.
Selling works the same way: the app sends your shares to the exchange with a sell order inside, and the USDT comes straight back to your wallet as it fills.
Your shares in the wallet
Shares are TON jettons, one for Yes and one for No per market, so Telegram Wallet and Tonkeeper show them like any other token. Your Portfolio tab shows the same holdings with their value and profit or loss, read from the chain.
Collecting winnings
When a market is settled, the Portfolio tab lists it under Winnings to collect. Press Collect winnings, confirm in your wallet (it sends a little TON for the fee, most of which comes back), and the USDT is paid straight to your TON wallet. Cancelled markets pay 50¢ a share the same way. See Collecting winnings.
Inviting friends
Profile → Invite gives you a link to Share in Telegram. Commissions on TON trades are collected there, to the TON wallet you connected last; commissions from website trades are collected on the website. See Inviting friends.
Notifications from the bot
If you allow it (Results in Telegram in your profile, or by starting the bot), Jua's bot messages you about your own fills, results and payments. Block the bot and the messages stop.
When real money is not on
Where a deployment has not switched on trading from TON wallets, the trade sheet and the Wallet tab say "No real money in Telegram yet" and offer Demo or play credits: the Wallet tab shows your credits, the daily check-in and the top-up. See Play money and Demo.
Languages
The Mini App speaks eleven languages (English, French, Swahili, Portuguese, Amharic, Oromo, Tigrinya, Arabic, Chinese, Vietnamese and Russian) and follows Telegram's light or dark theme. Change the language under Profile.
